match.com
Well, I am making good on a threat. I am a PhD student and decided that I would like to take some time for myself this summer and date a little. So after doing some research, I purchased a subscription to match.com only to find out that greater than 50% of the time, I was unable to link or login. When trying to connect I would get an error message or an invalid url message. I attempted to use the service for 10 days and continued to have a problem, especially during what is probably high traffic use times, i.e. evenings and early am. I found it very frustrating and decided to cancel my subscription and request a refund. I was not having any trouble with any other site, online service, or internet access. Match.com told me there was not any refund policy regardless of the reason. I tried to motivate them by threatening that I would report them to the BBB & blog about it, but to no avail they would not be fair. I explained they had inadequate servers for the traffic they had on their website. Still, no refund. So, now, I am making good on my threat. I do not recommended using match.com because there is a high failure to access rate. Furthermore I would not recommended this site because they have the poor business practice of penalizing the consumer for their inadequate service by not allowing any refund for any reason.
